About Christine Friesel

After dabbling with creative writing at Hanover College, Friesel went to work at the public library. There, she improved in areas of research and procrastination. There, she failed to answer the call to be a saint.

In 2009 she received an old, battered box from her mother, who discovered it while cleaning out the family home. Inside was the diary of a long-forgotten ancestor, a Civil War Marine. Dumbfounded, she asked: Who is Charley Brother?

Nudged by the life of Charley and moved by the poetry of his daughter, Friesel was never the same: disturbed, annoyed, and pursued by that old siren: Who is Christine Friesel?

Coming out with it, here, Friesel dabbles in writing. She continues the Brother Family saga. But to what end? Who knows, but sure as fire she no longer waits for a sign or asks: Who is LORD?
